About

Overseas Voices is an organization recently launched in Europe by Americans living abroad. Its purpose is the creation of radio

programming and a web presence for US citizens.

Both will offer first-hand insight into the effects of U.S. and foreign government policies on the lives of citizens around the world –health, education, living standards, security, trade, and media.

Mark Stenzler: Founder of Overseas Voices

Mark Stenzler was born in New York City, New York in 1960. While an undergraduate at Cornell University, Mark was a co-founder of WRFI, "Radio Free Ithaca", a local, community FM station. The station featured community-produced content as well as the BBC World Service news broadcasts.

Since 1989, Mark has been a regular presenter on Zürich radio (Radio LoRa - Zürich Alternative Local Radio). He has been the host of the "Blues Zeppelin", a program that features blues/zydeco music along with social/political commentary. Guests have included the actor/political satirist, Harry Shearer, and radio host, Laura Flanders.

In 1994, DRS 3, Swiss national radio, chose Mark to be its correspondent at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.  In 2000, Mark was invited to act as Master of Ceremonies at the Lucerne Blues Festival Jam Sessions in Lucerne, Switzerland.
